The Restorative

The following mini report represents a summarised version your Signature Personality. It is one of eight life aspects contained in the Authentic Self Profile Tool. Secondly your life purpose and thirdly the major behavioural challenges you will need to master to realise your potential. 

Your Signature Personality is your dominant way of responding to the world. Expressing this is key to unlocking your power and potential. Your Signature Personality is akin to signing your signature on everything you do. It is the way you leave your biggest mark on the world every day. Without its positive daily expression it will be difficult to realise your full potential.

The Restorative has strong planning and organisational skills. Your natural inclination will be to bring order to chaos. This is best achieved through the creation of structure, systems and processes. Leading to increased productivity and profits as well as reducing stress and anxiety. This combined with a responsible attitude means that others can rely on you to get things done right. You have a major role to play in restoring order through structure, systems and processes.

Yours is a much needed skill that has the ability to impact people, organisations and societies.

Your major self-sabotaging tendency is your need for structure and order can turn you into a control freak. You like order. So when things don’t conform to your orderly standards you have a tendency to want to control and force them to do so. Unfortunately most of life cannot be controlled. You may struggle to recognise this in your pursuit of order and having your own way at all costs. This can lead to high levels of stress and anxiety as you are forever striving to achieve the impossible. 

You need to accept that people and situations cannot always be controlled. Life will be much easier by realising when you let go of control everything will find its own natural order. A good technique to help you let go of your need to control is using the affirmation. ‘Whatever is in the highest interests of all parties concerned in regard to this situation have manifest now’. Then let go of the situation and outcome allowing the natural implicit order of things to be restored. This technique has been proven to work time and time again. 

It is important to realise that your need for control is based on a fear that something might go wrong. You can inadvertently believe that if things aren’t done a certain way then chaos and failure will occur. This of course becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. It is important to realise that your need for control is based on your own fear of failure. Which you are projecting onto others. This then becomes a vicious cycle.

Developing ingenious systems and processes is different from having to constantly control everything. Life has its own implicit order. So it is important to balance your need for structure with a go with the flow attitude. Learn to let go when something does not flow. In doing this you will allow things to find their natural and implicit order. 

Another self-sabotaging aspect of The Restorative is having a rebel without a cause attitude. This may cause you to become rebellious of societal rules and norms. This can occur because you believe that your way of doing things is better than everyone else's. It is a way of you controlling the world. It would be wise to question what are you really rebelling against. Is it something where you can make a real difference with your ingenious systems and processes? Or are you being adversarial for the sake of it? 

Often the rebel without a cause is just playing the role of the rebellious child who thinks that everyone is the critical parent. One way to break this cycle is to start seeing yourself as an adult who always has adult to adult relationships. Rather than child to parent relationships.
